6 Steps to starting your Semi Permanent Makeup Blog.

6 Steps to starting your Semi Permanent Makeup Blog.

Before you make a start here, you need to be 100% honest with yourself about how much time you can realistically commit to this.

A blog is a way for you to reach your customers - but if you've nothing to offer them when they give you their attention, it can be damaging for you.

Blogs are a fantastic way to rise above the noise of our industry. They're also a place for you to own your content and display it on branding that's yours - not Facebook's or Twitter's. This means that what you're building with a blog is a really robust foundation for YOUR brand. You can use keywords and tags within your Semi Permanent Makeup Blog to help Google index your site. Google (and other search engines) LOVE fresh content that's original, and relevant.

Take a look at my suggestions for the steps you'll need to take to get started:

Step 1:

Why do you want to do this? Do you understand what you want to achieve and who you're trying to reach?

Step 2:

What are the goals? Are you trying to reach potential clients, or are you positioning yourself as a leader in your field offering advice and knowledge?

Step 3:

Who are you aiming your content at? If you don't have the answer to this question, you'll quickly run out of topics to blog about. You need to be able to speak directly to your target audience, and provide them with the useful information.

Step 4:

What are the "calls to action" your blog is communicating? What do you want your readers to actually do after they read your content? Sign up for updates? Enquire about a consultation? Follow you on Social Media?

Step 5:

Create a content plan. Brainstorm some subject matter you'd like to cover, and decide how frequently you want to post. Don't be tempted to post too frequently just because ideas are coming thick and fast. 50% of blogs don't last beyond 90 days - so PACE yourself.

Step 6:

Speak to me about key wording and Search Engine Optimisation. Google LOVES a blog - now let me show you how to make the most of your knowledge, experience, and skill.
