Sugru Can Save You!

Putting aside for the moment that NONE OF US* wrap our cables round our handpiece, or put too much stress on the cable joints - here's an idea to add in a little more protection.

Anyone who has small kids with iPads/Amazon Tablets, you will know that charging cables can be fragile - especially at the point they join to the plug. The same can said for our handpiece cables.

One thing I like to do is add in some Sugru (mouldable glue) where the cable meets the plug. You can get this stuff from Amazon and it comes in various colours and pack sizes. Spending £8 on protecting your cable could mean the difference between a machine failure with a client on the bed, or a successful treatment and £300 in your pocket.

*We get LOTS of handpieces back for repair where the cable has been wound around the handpiece, or would up too tight, of even broken at the connectors where it's been stretched to its limits. PLEASE don't do this. This is your livelihood, and you need to really baby these machines.
